And who has the time to walk on a machine for an hour nowadays?
Limit HIIT sessions to 4x maximum a week though; they’re really tough! If you’re obese or really unfit, you should start off with 10 min walks and add higher intensity intervals as you go along.
Don’t fall into the trap of doing over 20 crunches (that number 20!) per session. They give you a waist like a tree trunk.
Remember, ab exercises train your abdominal muscles, HIIT is needed to burn off the fat covering your abs.
To get a six pack abs you need to have a low body fat percentage.

  • Drink before and after meals, never during them. It dilutes gastric juices, which slows digestion.
  • I will agree with one thing the glossy mags preach: get your beauty sleep and stay chill. Stress, anxiety and lack of sleep screws with your metabolism.

  • Stick to whole foods. I’m not talking about bunny-style lettuce-and-carrot diets; I’m talking about anything natural and untouched by the food industries.
