Actor Brad William Henke (Kirk’s Uncle Frank in the new J.J. Abrams Trek movie) spilled some details about the character: “I play Captain Kirk’s alcoholic, abusive uncle when he’s a kid, and I treat him very badly, which forces him to go off and do what he does.”
